Five Element Acupuncture is a powerful, heart-centred approach to healing rooted in the ancient wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This beautiful system views each person as a unique blend of the five elements—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water—each representing different aspects of our body, mind, and spirit.
When one element falls out of balance, it can affect our physical health, emotional well-being, or sense of purpose. By identifying and treating the root imbalance, Five Element Acupuncture helps restore harmony, resilience, and inner vitality.
This style of acupuncture is deeply personal and holistic. It’s not just about relieving symptoms—it’s about helping you feel more like yourself: more grounded, more joyful, more alive.

Acupuncture has been around for over 2,000 years and is a key component of traditional Chinese medicine.

Yes — when performed by a qualified practitioner, acupuncture is considered very safe. At AcuZen, all needles are sterile, single-use, and disposed of after each treatment. Nadja is a highly qualified, skilled and insured BAcC member.

Yes, acupuncture may be covered by many UK private health insurance providers and health cash plans, depending on your individual policy. Many insurers recognise treatment provided by practitioners registered with the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC). Many major UK providers may include acupuncture cover on selected plans, including Bupa, AXA Health, Aviva, Vitality, Simplyhealth, Medicash, WPA, Benenden, and Westfield Health, among others. Cover is always policy-dependent and often subject to referral and pre-authorisation. AcuZen is a recognised and approved acupuncture provider in Chester for Healthcode health providers.
Acupuncture can often be adapted safely during cancer care, but it must be carefully individualised depending on current treatment, blood counts, medication, and overall health status. A full consultation is always carried out first, and we may ask for medical clearance where appropriate. Acupuncture may be used as a complementary therapy alongside conventional cancer care, always in communication with your oncology or medical team. It may help support symptoms such as stress, poor sleep, fatigue, treatment-related nausea, tension, and overall well-being. It is not a replacement for medical cancer treatment but may offer supportive care during and after treatment.
Some patients seek acupuncture support for symptoms such as nausea, fatigue, anxiety, poor sleep, and treatment-related discomfort. Any treatment during active cancer care should always be discussed with your consultant or oncology nurse first.
